Sometimes, it comes in Red!

I know I have this all black theme going on with my charcoal artwork. But sometimes, it’s fun to play fast and loose with the rules. These were created over a few different sessions when I came across red paper and white pencils. I dunno what it is that works so well about it; but each one of these felt magically perfect!

I'm here
$200.00

“I’m here” is bold as it is subtle.

It features strong, exaggerated lines where the light hits the subject…
In the same breath, it features subtle scribbles and minimal negative space where the shadows do their work.

It is dark and bright all at once.

Subjective Reality
$70.00

Is it just me or does this piece, “Subjective Reality”, feel like a vividly fading memory? It feels right and wrong like the details of a dream you’re trying not to forget.

Type: Original Sketch
Category: Figure
Medium: Charcoal and Graphite on Red Paper
Size: 10” x 10”

Waiting for Nothing
$150.00

I had planned to work on some portraiture on the day I created this piece. Sometimes our hands say more than our faces do. So it was pertinent that I sketched a portrait of my model’s hands.
