Group Show with the Milwaukee Artist Resource Network
Following my first solo show, I was invited to enter into the MARN group show, “Small Works… BIG Impact!”. I’ve had 3 pieces accepted into the group show and they will be on display at the Marshall Building in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward through Saturday, May 16th.
Pictures don’t really do the pieces justice. But I figured I’d share them here for those that can’t check out the pieces in person.
A two part set, these were created (very cheekily) in response to Inktober 2025 prompts of drink and trunk. This set punctuates an otherwise tense series with a moment of playful distraction in a way that emulates the duality of life itself.

Stylistically, Sounds of a Waterfall was created in stark contrast to my typical style that embraces rich, deep, dark shadows. The preservation of negative space became important almost as soon as I started working on this piece. Emotionally, the effortless grace with which her hair falls to her side became a moment in itself - hence the title.
