Sounds of a Waterfall
Stylistically, this piece was created in stark contrast to my typical style that embraces rich, deep, dark shadows. The preservation of negative space became important almost as soon as I started working on this piece.
Emotionally, the effortless grace with which her hair falls to her side became a moment in itself - hence the title.
This was created as a cheeky response to an Inktober prompt, “Trunk”. This punctuates an otherwise tense series with a moment of playful distraction in a way that emulates the duality of life itself.

Pornstar Martini
A passionfruit based cocktail, the pornstar martini was something taken straight out of my camera roll. The entire series played with taking real references from my life and applying a surreal twist to them, and this felt right at home with that theme.
